Ole Miss will be entering rarefied air when it travels to Knoxville at 7-2, fresh off a victory over the mighty Ragin Cajuns. Not many Rebel teams have seen 8-2. Nutt & Co., should travel to east Tennessee with extra oxygen, because this will be the year. Tennessee is down. Even further down that last year. The Vols lost all five starters off the offensive line and will be breaking in a new quarterback. To make the bad news worse, the team recently lost senior defensive end Ben Walker for the season to injury. To quote Lindy's: "UT has had just two seven-loss seasons in history and no eight-loss season. There's a reason we bring this up." If the Vols play down to expectations, don't look for much out of them in mid-November as they limp out of a brutal October after suffering through LSU, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina. Ole Miss should be a favorite going into this game.
Prediction: Ole Miss 24, Tennessee 14.
Masoli: Jeremiah Masoli still does not have that waiver from the NCAA. All predictions are subject to change if this guy isn't on the field. Masoli is good for two wins. Without him, the Rebels are probably 7-3 or 6-4 after the Tennessee game.
