If the strength of this year's team is defense, then get ready for a horrible season. Ole Miss made Jacksonville State look like world beaters today and the fault lies squarely on the shoulders of what was supposed to be one of the better defenses in the SEC. It was ugly. The Rebels could not get sufficient pressure in the J-State backfield and a pathetic secondary was exposed. But it's not all on the secondary. The whole defense gets an F. You don't give up 48 points to an FCS opponent when you are in the SEC. You just don't. The defensive line that was predicted to be great was handled.
